OST - The Rose (Bette Midler) (1979)

I read some time ago that a biopic about Janis Joplin is expected, which will chronicle the last six months of the singer's life. Joplin will be played by Nina Arianda. It was unavoidable to recall Bette Midler's role in The Rose which was loosely based on the life of Joplin. Midler's role earned her an Oscar nomination, while the song that took its name from the movie title was a big success for her.
