This is the last post for Alex Chilton. As with the Gories, he was the man behind the console and obviously a key person in this historical album.

    for these tunes, he was THE man!

  2. You're right, Faust, that Chilton's role as a producer is a little bit shadowed as compared with his career as a songwriter. So, the average garage fan, who isn't very fond of the Big Star tunes, should be aware of his capability in crafting the sound of beloved groups that came out from the garage.
