Psarantonis - I Reckon (1998) (@256)

Like all the previous years I was looking at the line up of All Tomorrow's Parties music festival, envying those lucky bastards that will attend. I was aware that ATP always hosts the cutting edge of today's music, but I was quite surprised when I saw that Psarantonis will also perform his music there. Psarantonis is widely known for his mastery in Cretan lyre; his repertoire consists mainly of Greek traditional songs but played in his unique way which is heavily based on improvisation. The album I upload is a superb compilation of instrumentals from his 30-year spanning discography.
